Our work

Engineering that reaches the product.

A production example and a closer look at our engineering focus across customer-facing features, automotive electronics, security and telematics.

Proven in production

Customer-facing connected feature

An in-vehicle experience, taken from concept through vehicle integration.

NAVFRAN engineered a customer-facing connected feature from its initial concept through integration into the vehicle. The work brought feature development into the wider automotive system, with delivery extending beyond a standalone demonstration.

The result is a shipped vehicle feature. This is the kind of engineering ownership we bring to a defined feature or subsystem: a clear scope and a path from architecture to production handoff.

Our engineering focus

The work behind connected products.

Four areas where we support product teams, from a focused engineering task to ownership of a feature or subsystem.

01

Customer-facing features

In-cabin and connected experiences that drivers use every day. We take a feature from its concept through development and vehicle integration.

What this covers
  • Infotainment experiences
  • Connected applications
  • Digital dashboard experiences

02

Automotive electronics engineering

Embedded and electronic systems designed around the requirements of the wider vehicle. Our work connects architecture decisions with implementation and production intent.

What this covers
  • SoC resource management
  • CAN interface architecture
  • Android Automotive integration
Explore the capability
03

VAPT & cybersecurity

Vulnerability assessment and penetration testing supported by our automotive VAPT lab. Security assessment sits alongside product development and integration.

What this covers
  • Telematics units
  • Infotainment systems
  • In-vehicle networks

04

Telematics

Connected vehicle hardware and data systems, engineered from device to dashboard. We consider the fleet operating conditions the system will face outside the lab.

What this covers
  • Connected vehicle hardware
  • Device-to-dashboard data systems
  • Integration for fleet operating conditions

Delivery approach

A clear path through the engineering.

The scope determines where we start and how far we take the work. Milestones make the ownership and expected deliverables clear.

How we work together
  1. 01

    Requirements & feasibility

Understand the product challenge, review requirements and RFQs, and agree the engineering scope.

  2. 02

    Architecture & prototypes

Define the system and its interfaces. Use prototypes and proofs of concept to explore feasibility before broader development.

  3. 03

    Development & integration

Develop the agreed hardware, firmware, applications or cloud components, then bring them together as a working system.

  4. 04

    Validation & production readiness

Plan validation, FMEA and security assessment as part of delivery, with manufacturing coordination and production handoff where the scope requires them.
